I saw this spider in my work room, I live in Los Angeles County in Southern California. Does any one know what kind of spider it is, is it dangerous

My best guess is an Argiopes. One of the many orb-weaver spiders. Two characteristics can verify this. 1. they hang head down in their web. 2 the web usually has a band of zigzag web in the center. It is harmless. Look it up on whatsthatbug.com
