Mosquitoes and many other bugs home in on the carbon dioxide and heat the body gives off. The head gives off a lot of heat, some people more than others, so it looks very attractive to certain bugs. Eating Bananas makes you smell better to Mosquitoes, better tasting I guess, so they are attracted to you more than other people with you.

They probably use a shampoo or hair care product that smells attractive to them.

For example, lactic acid is a known attractor for mosquitoes.

They also love Limberger cheese -- of all things.

Try the bleaching kits first. If you still don't like the results try waxing, threading, or electrolysis. I wax my upper lip, and let me tell you, it HURTS a lot but it's over quick and it takes a while for the hair to grow in again. And I know what your mom is talking about - I do get little tiny bumps in that area that last a few days, but then they go away. Oh, yeah, as for laser treatments - I tried them. They hurt like heck and the hair kept coming back. Plus it is expensive.

Mosquitoes are attracted to CO2 from the breath. When they get closer they can be attracted by smells from the hair or skin.

There is a lot of heat released from the top of your head. Mosquitoes are attracted to heat.

It is the carbon dioxide that we breathe out that attracts them. If you eat bananas you attract them even more!
