I always thought it was the cheetah however someone recently told me that it was no longer the fastest and another animal took its place.

It is not a myth that animals are more farsighted than humans they have proved to be accurate in predicting natural calamities like recently in tsunami where animal casualities were very less ,in india it is belived that dogs, cats, cows and certain varieties of birds even predict human death by making noises in their own way for eg dogs start howling in a particular area and that could be assumed of a human death or some other unfortunate event in the area, and the changes in the nature are shown in their behaviour hours before the catastrophic event takes place thus helping them to flee to safety! that tells us not to take our pet's restless change of behavior casually.

...I found tiny white specks everywhere on the floor. I put one under a microscope, and it turns out they were tiny newspapers, with the headline "MYSTERIOUS PLAGUE KILLS THOUSANDS", "THE QUEEN IS DEAD, RELOCATION PLANS UNDERWAY", and, "THERMOSTAT FOUND TO BE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING". Am I crazy?

I live in Minnesota. Last fall, for about a week, when I went to bed I would hear this scratching noise in the attic or sort of sounds like its in the wall close to the ceiling. Once, I briefly heard this high pitch squealing sort of noise. Then it quit. A couple weeks ago, after I went to bed I heard a tiny bit of scratching again. I haven't since then. Does this sound like bats? Do they hibernate but still occasionally make noise? I live in a rambler so my attic isn't the type you just go into. I don't think I have mice. I've never seen any mouse droppings anywhere in my house. Also, my dad is very allergic to mice, and he has never had a reaction when coming to my house.

Okay, I admit it - I have OCD. I love spotting wildlife, and I love tracking it. Does anyone know of a comprehensive list of all (or close to all) worldwide animal species that I can check off all the ones that I have seen in the wild? I'd love to be able to put an "X" in the box next to cheetah, Nene, or Sea Otter. There are plenty of tools for this for birding, but not for all animals. Anyone know?
