It's seems to depend on where and how the cats got together to fight. If a male tiger and male lion got into it in the old circuses it was normally the lion. i've seen some unfair fights staged in china and it depends on which animal was thrown into who's cage. Because when it comes to animals who ever is a new comer to a certain space is less likely to win or to even fight.Size, age and sex have alot to do with it.

No, the lion and tiger never fight. The lion is in Africa, the tiger is in Asia. They are sometimes mated in captivity by unscrupulous breeders. The male of either species that is involved in this becomes a whole new breed, they become Claude Balls!

No as the tiger is stronger but the lions mane hinders the tigers ability to grab his neck for the fatal bite
