I have never heard of such a thing, but I doubt very much that it would work. Venoms are only deleterious when they are in contact with the blood stream i.e if they are injected by a bite, or sting etc. Ingesting venom would have no effect on a person, unless of course if you have cuts inside your mouth or digestive system with which the venom can enter.
Now this may be true with poisons however, since poisons must be ingested to take their effect. I suppose that if you were constantly exposed to small amounts, then you may slowly adapt somewhat of a resistance, but if ever you come in contact with large amounts, it would probably kill you anyways.
All venoms and poisons are quite complex chemical mixtures, so drinking any random one will not make you immune to all. If you are trying to immunize yourself to one animal's poison in particular, make sure that it is that animal you plan to lick when you want to test out your theory, because even a closely related animal may have a completely different toxin in their poison.
Hope this helps!

Long ago scientists in Australia developed anti-venenes or anti-venoms that could be given to people who had suffered snakebite. These substances neutralise the venom and prevent the most serious effects of a snakebite. More recently they also developed a treatment for the bite of the funnel web spider. However these are given after the bites.
There may be some value in giving minute doses of the venom to prevent the most serious effects of a real bite in the future.
Much of the snake handling was done by an Indian man called Ram Chandra who was well known in Australia during the 1950s and 1960s.

A snake isn't weak to this is own style of venom so it will be counted upon how undesirable the chew become, it ought to die from the chew on my own and not in any respect from the venom and no matter if both snakes were a similar form IE similar style of venom. in the journey that they were a similar then it merely relies upon on no matter if the wound from the chew were undesirable adequate to reason demise and if diverse species then the snake would change into victom to the venom, there is an danger that it would stay via it although the venom would result it if that is what you meant.

Possible! In fact in some parts of the world, the venom is used to produce some medications. For instance, Cobratox is a cream with sname venom which claims to have the ability to cure pain such as rheumatism! There are also some roots or herbs, and when one chews it for a given duration it gives the the ability to withstand bites of even the most venomous snakes in the world! In fact, the snakes may get killed if they do dare to bite them!

it is for horses ,that is how they make serum
and yes there are guys who inject them selves with tiny amounts of snake venom to become imune
but only with certain snakes
other venoms deteriorate the veins and you get gangrene
you canot do it with that serum .like the south African Puffadder.

Yes. Only, it takes longer than one dose.
My uncle spent like, 6 months of his life being injected with tiny amounts of rattlesnake venom.
He is now completely, 100% immune to it. VERY handy, because we live in the mojave desert.

Though theoritically it is possible it will be too risky. It may take a few generations to achieve some resistance rather than immunity.
