They only come out at night to avoid predators, but how do they know when it is dark as there is no light in their tunnels?

I know they exist, having seen recent footage of the collosal squid caught by NZ fishermen off of Antartica. But what I want to know is, could a squid, or octopus, exist that was as large as those reported by the sailors of old, or those seen in B-movies that can wrap their tentacles around a ship?

I know it would actually be nigh-on impossible for such a creature to drag a ship down, but, in theory, is it feasible that a cephlapod this large exists?

Thanks!

Hello everybody,

I have found today what it looked like a big spider maybe 5 cm long black color with white spots on the back. Instead of killing I tried to push it outside of the shed, but it turn around and it was baiting the stick that I was pushing it with. Finally I have got it out of the room I did not want to kill the thing but I just want to know what that was? And was it venomous or any dangerous?
It looks like a spider but without any hair on its legs and moving very quickly, I’m thinking maybe it was a big ant or something like that. Does anyone know what that could be?

#1. How does the baby kangaroo get IN the pouch in the first place? Does male kangaroo make love to the pouch?

#2. Has ANYONE seen the inside of the pouch? Is it nice at least?

#3. Can the female kangaroo kick her baby out at any time? You know, if he's fooling around too much... can she lift him out of there until he behaves?

I'll be in southern Louisiana towards the end of March photographing swamp plants. Is there much chance of getting some good gator pics too?

The only candidates I can think of are irukanji jellyfish, box jellyfish, stonefish, platypus, gila monster, and coral snake. Unless it would really be a two or three way tie or an animal I'm not familiar with.
