1.he would take the bear down with a single blow and the bear woud instantly be killed

A griz won't get 1200 lbs, but other subspecies of brownies do, like the Kodiak.

Romantic poets do not go outdoors without at least some Isotoner gloves on, so it wouldn't be a bare handed romantic poet anyway.

So number 4 is the answer.

Your questioning is grammatically wrong. A poet is romantic with any specie and even though it is animal, because he is a poet he comes out wih poetry and praise the bare as a giant and gives honey of poetic words, and the bare follows him for more honey.
