It is horriffic from a animal husbandry standpoint. Inhumane from moral standpoint and unhealthy from food quality standpoint.

Tightly concentrating animals in confined spaces causes rapid tranmission of infections of all kinds. Respiratory infections are rampant. This is why they must be pumped up with so many anitbiotics. The constant antibiotics make them anemic and dehydrated. They are fed massive chemical supplements to counteract their unhealthful state.

Animals packed in together that are unable to move around nomally become psychotic. As a result they sometimes become canibalistic.

I don't think eating sick animal is healthy. The entire idea of factory farms is unatural. Buy organic.

Now are you talking corporate farming or confinement livestock? I am not for corporate farming, ie having Cargill or ADM come in and start owning and producing the grain.

I do not have a problem with confinement livestock, as long as they follow EPA regulations.
