I live in saskatchewan, canada. Its near the end on october and the temperature is around 0 C when i usually go outside in the mornings. is this too early to start wearing a puffy winter parka or should i wait till its even colder?

90% of the time these tragedies seem to occur in California, and often in areas where the celebrities have their vacation homes such as Malibu. Year after year we hear about these fires in the news.

How come Washington state, British Columbia, the east, etc don't suffer from these fires as often as California (note Florida had fires in 2006).

makes me wonder what kind of a winter we will endure,will we have above average snowfall and freezing temperatures, or will it be mild,with very little snow. i think the northeast will have wicked weather as this usually happens when we get summer weather this late in the fall.what do you think?

so, as a hurricane moves over the ocean picking up speed, it also picks up sea water. the water is then released as rain when the hurricane passes over land. Is the rain that falls salt water? if not, what happened to the salt?
