example:El Nino or El Nina meaning boy/girl or other latin names.is that because spanish is becoming very well-known and accepted as the 2nd common language? is that discrimination against other languages, such as asian languages, etc or should meterologists/weather naming people alternate between different language names/terms and spice it up since the U.S. is very diverse (ex:Category 5 Hurricane = (italian)Mamma Mia! or (french)Le Danger!) or (chinese)Dai-lo*Big Boss*? or should they just all be in english since that is the universal language in the united states? what are your opinions? thanks.

I haven't heard about tornadoes wiping away a city filled with skyscrapers or industrial areas or similar like NY or CA or TX or desert areas like las vegas, Nevada...usually areas like the countryside with vast fields? why do you think that's the case? don't look it up.I want to know your current opinions/hypothesis as to why tornadoes are prone in certain areas and not others.thanks.

I have been having terrible reception (pixeling, channels not coming in at all, my voice sounding robotic on the phone or people can't hear me at all) w/my digital cable/phone, and Comcast has told me it's due to "solar flares", occuring because of the fall solstice, which is due to end today. Is this true or are they coming up with more lame excuses? I can't find any "fall solstice" when I search for it. I have had a Comast worker at my house 3 times in 2 weeks and they tell me everything is just fine. DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON COMCAST!!!!! I have heard everything from it must be a fluke to it's squirrels chewing the lines and now that it's solar flares. I am getting extremely frustrated and I'm planning on heading out there tomorrow to give them a piece of my mind.

When the weather man tells you the wind is north east what is he telling you? That the wind is blowing in that direction or is it coming from that direction?

If you stand under an umbrella in a rainstorm, where the drops fall vertically, you remain relatively dry. But, if you start running the rain begins to hit your legs even if they remain under the umbrella, why?
