I live in South Texas....so snow is a rarity down here. I keep hearing that phrase on the national news and I was just wondering what it means.

As we go up in the mountains we are closer to the sun. So it should be more and more hot as we climb. But why it is more cooler in the mountains?

When it snows in Scotland it causes some disruption, but we manage to get to work and school. This bit of snow has been headline news for nearly three days!!
Goodness only knows how people cope in really snowy places.

This Super Bowl last Sunday in Miami was the first of all the Super Bowls ever played in Miami (around 10 now) to be played with rain falling the entire game.
Will the reality of climate change force the NFL to forego playing Super Bowls in outdoor Florida stadiums in Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville and play all Super Bowls in domed stadiums so weather cannot affect the quality of play?

I hate the weather here. I’ve lived here since I was born. I live in the city that has been called the hottest city in the USA, McAllen TX. Temperatures average from 100-120 in the summer. The temperatures in Spring average from 90-110. Everyone gets sick during the fall because on day it could go as low as 50 and as high as 100 the next day, and then as low as 50 the next, and high again at 90. During September it rains so much, the entire area goes on flood alert for that month, everything gets flooded. On winter, temperatures reach the 30, and 40. It even snowed 2 years ago. Often, hail damages cars. At anytime of the year, we get the strong gusts of winds that bring down lampposts, billboards, and trees.
Some people I know who have lived in many places around the world, say it’s the worst weather in the world. I’ve traveled around too, and I don’t think the summer in Egypt is as bad as the summer here. I’d like to find out:

Is there a city with a worse weather?
