Man made global warming is a farce. It's solar related and we're on our way out of an ice age. The world has warmed up one degree in the last hundred years the majority of it in the first half of the 20th century...Also, during the medieval warming period, the earth was warmer than it is now. Those darn horses and their CO2 emissions!

A lot happens - El Nino for one affects weather patterns.
Overall, though, a LOT of meteorologists and other scientists do question the science behind global warming. From the beginning, it was ASSUMED that CO2 and other gasses were causing a perceived rise in temperatures.
The most likely cause of a rise in temperatures is cycles of the sun. You recall, no doubt, that the planet had at least one 'Ice Age'. Well, it obviously warmed up.
In the 70s, when I was a kid, people were noticing that the average temps were dropping and the same bunch now warning about global warming were warning about, no joke, 'global cooling'.
I suspect in 20 or 30 years, if that long, we'll see average temps dropping again due largely to apparently cyclical changes in the energy the sun puts out.

People you need to give up the thought of Global Warming. It is not happening. Our Earth goes through natural weather patterns. It is not Global Warming. Stop freaking out. You will be ok. How do think we went through Ice Ages and Warm trends millions of years ago? Global Warming????? AHHHHH!!!!! That is not the case. It is natural cycles of the earth. We are cleaner and more environmental conscious than we have ever been before. Get over it, calm down, take a deep breath. Remember the answser to every quesion is NOT GLOBAL WARMING!

35 years ago all the scientists and media were crying about global cooling and the disasters that were going to happen. It even made the cover of time magazine. Don't fret, its just normal fluctuations and it will go back the other way some day. We are way below the record cold for Feb of all time right now in MI. If it stays this way we will set a new record for COLD.

myth, Look at weather patterns throughtout time, ice ages and warming periods. Yes, we can affect the earth over time if man is not carefull but, our chimicals in the air are nothing compared to that of mother nature. Valcanos erupt with 10 time to 100 times the force of nucular bombs, that send all kind of thing in the atmesphere, for thousands of miles. mt st helens chimical and ash cloud spread all the way to the gulf coast. The weather is just a natural shift in the jet stream and northern atlatic ocean current..

Whether the global temperature is warming a little faster, or a little slower than the worse case scenario is irrelevant. Its a serious issue, and we need to do something about it now! I also feel betrayed by our leaders who have kept us dependent on fossil fuels. We should have been developing the use of alternative energy sources decades ago. The time to act is NOW!!!

there is actually more proof that it isn't happening at all. even more that if it is, humans probably have nothing to do with it.
fact: the method used to measure the mean temperature of the planet has a certain percentage of error
fact: the rise in recorded temperature since 1880 is LESS than that percentage of error
fact: there is ~26% more carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere today than 1880
fact: since 1880 the percentage of carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere has risen from 0.028% to 0.038% (that's a 1/100th of a % increase, equivalent to a statistical anomaly)
you see how things can get misrepresented depending on what spin you give them?

I heard that by 2050 we might not even be here, the Western half of Antarctica is supposed to break off, causing sea level to rise 25, flooding a lot of us, then there will be more fires and giant hurricanes and some point you won't be able to see the earth from space because of all the clouds from hurricanes, I suggest you watch An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore, its scary

I'm so glad that you actually asked this because from my point of view, other people don't even make remarks about this situation. My friend and I actually watched some documentaries about this.We went to www.youtube.com and searched for global warming. I do feel a change in this and it is not going to happen in maybe a million years from now. But It doesn't seem that way. Either way, We are humans and we have to do all these things that actually cause global warming.

It seems like the weather is worse.
Hotter summers and colder winters.
Or mabye when I was a kid I wasn't paying attention as much to the weather as I do now.
