Throughout these past few years I've been amazed at the medical errors, including the amputation of "good" limbs, operation on wrong organs, etc., and the alledged other medical mistakes which some say kill between 40 and 98,000 Americans each year!!!!

But this that I've just read makes my hair stand on end!

I take 50 mgs of Tramadol occassionally for back pain. I try not to take if I don't need it. A friend of mine called this afternoon and invited me to go out for drinks tonight. I know I am not supposed to drink with Tramadol. How long do I have to wait after my last dose to safely have a couple of drinks again?

I was given an interoffice mailer with what looked like a bloodstain on it. The mailer sat on my desk at least a day before I touched it and noticed the stain. Is there any chance of catching HIV from this? What about anything else?

I have been taking 80 mg.s of oxycontin for year's, and my refill is due Wed. For the 1st time, I have either lost my pill bottle or it could have been taken. This happened 2 day's ago. In the meantime I have been taking my 10/352 vicodin pill's that are supposed to be for break-through pain. But after today I won't have a thing. And I'm scared, I know that there's supposed to be withdrawal and I am really going to feel my pain now...I have 12 bad disc's. My friend has had surgery and is getting off of her pill's {lucky her } They rec. I don't get surgery. Anyway, she will give me some of her methadone pill's so that I will be okay. I never have taken anything the dr. has not given me. He will not be here till Wed. so I can not go to him. IF I were to take her's I would prob. take 1/2 and see what happen's...But 1st I needed to ask all of this. I hope you all can understand my way of asking...Thanx.
