I was on the pill but ended up with a blood clot in my eye. As a diabetic I have to be careful about getting pregnant. I looked into the IUDs but they don't suggest them for women who have not had children yet.

i'm taking micardis since two months ago to control my blood pressure 130/90. i stopped a week ago and i am much alert and less drowsy. is it wise to stop as my doc said not to miss taking it daily. please advise.

1 thing i have wondered
sure the blind can experience the other effects of the drug
but what do the blind SEE(im talking blind from birth, NEVER had sight) when taking acid or mushrooms or other drugs that cause visual hallucinations
is this something that people with sight will ever even know? (well, until brain reading tech is available)
it would be like explaining color to the blind...but in reverse

Say you have to go under the knife to have your appendix removed.
Or a person tragically is in a accident and there is no choice than to surgically remove the leg.
I know this is a crude question, but I've always wondered what a hospital does with the remains.
BTW, we have a catholic hospital in my community that takes babies/fetuses that didn't make it and once a year have a proper and respectful burial ceremony at a local cemetery.

i just got cough just this morning. I already took 1pc. of amoxicillin 500. is it still safe to stop and opt for a cough syrup first? will it have any affect if i stop the amoxicillin?

This question stems from the need to understand how is ti that women who endure as much as men do to obtain MD status and work hard and long hours...get paid any less? Does this result from a belief that women underperform men?


And does this disparity hold true for male vs. female nurses? Male vs. female PAs? Other HCPs?

I live in the US and have taken a name brand drug for a year and half that costs over $150 each month! I found the same drug on a Canadian pharmacy website called ADVCare.com for much less money.

I have been taking the Canadian pill for one week and feel like something's not quite right. I am having symptoms that I normally don't with a careful regimen and seem to have more side effects, like a pounding headache and sleeplessness.

Can anyone tell me their experience with American drugs vs. Canadian drugs? Any differences that you know of? Any professional pharmacists out there who may know? Your serious answers are greatly appreciated!

I am hypo-thyroid (under active thyroid) and have been since age 12. (Hashimotos disease)
I just got my lab results today and my
TSH is 5.05
and Thyroid is 1.18

I am taking synthroid 137mg everyday.
*am I still not getting enough medication?
and if not - how far off am I??
(and is this why I'm having trouble losing weight????)
