The procedure is usually done in a heart cath lab. With a cardiologist in charge instead of a radiologist. The lab usually has their own radiological technologist assigned to the area to run the fluoroscopy equipment and monitor radiation practices.

we already have this field called interventional cardiology and they do those procedures..
