Hi,

I am currently doing an electronics project, and I've got mixed up in something quite simple... My project is composed of a motor (running on a max of 3V) and several circuits (eight, all of them exactly the same).

I have succeeded in operating a sample circuit using a 9V battery. Now, I am looking at how to connect everything (8 circuits and motor) together in parallel, so that they work at the same time using a 9V DC supply. However, I'm not sure what resistance I should put in series with the motor, to drop its voltage to 3V (so that I do not burn it!).

Help! Thanks!

I'm doing a science project involving balsa wood bridges and I need to measure their weight in grams. They are very light so it has to have good accuracy. Please keep in mind that this project is a one time thing and I don't want it to be expensive. Thank you very much!

I think it's something to do with my electrical field? Or magnetism? Basically I ruin watches and I get electric shocks off all kind of things. Anyone know why? - maybe I should wear one of those magnetic bracelets or something...!

The idea would be to prevent splatters, however I heard that there is a danger of the plastic leaching onto the food. Does anyone have researched facts to say if this is true or false ?
We place food in plastic containers and microwave, but I'm referring to placing food in a corningware or dinner plate and covering with a plastic dome.

I'm curious about fields of study, companies, or even books that one could look into that would allow one to combine electrical engineering (undergrad in progress) with a love of fishkeeping.

I shine a laser to the micro-bridge and apply AC signal to electrically actuated the micro-bridge. I then use the reflection of the laser light to determine if it's resonant. If the reflection of laser spot becomes wider, then I would say the micro-bridge is in resonance. However, this method can't tell me which mode I am seeing. Is there any way that I can know the modes?

Thank you.

Hi, I have 10 values for X, and other 10 values for Y, they are independent, But I have a function H(X,Y) that is dependent on these X, Y values. and I have 10 values for H too. What is the most direct way (preferably on excel ) that I can derive and equation H(X,Y) so that if I have any value of X, and any value of Y, I can get H(x,y)?? Thanks alot! if not on excel how can i do it on matlab?

This is probably a Duhhhh question for anyone who knows anything about electronics, but I'm not someone who knows anything about electronics. If I've got a bunch of wires hooked up to PNP inputs, and the I/O label says the input is sinking and the output is sourcing, how do I toggle them on and off? They're on (I believe) right now, when I have them hanging out in space not touching anything else. Touching them to ground produces all these errors that seem to indicate I shorted the circuit. Go easy on me, I know virtually nothing about electronics.
