I used to be a member of the Red devils Parachute Team. I know that on leaving the A/craft, I accelerated to approx 120 mph in 10 seconds. Every 1000 feet after that takes 5 seconds to fall. After falling 1000 ft (initially in 10 seconds), I reached my terminal velocity of approx 120 mph. Im curious about the formula.
Cheers

My hobby is monitoring, scanning radio waves and can't find information regarding my question. In the USA, you can find plenty of info on this field.

I want the LED light(12V) to turn on like normal when you apply power to it but I want it to fade out over 3-5 seconds when you turn it off.
HOW CAN I DO THIS? Capacitor, resistor, relay,a combo of several?!Can you please tell me some specific items I need to gather for this project?I have been given MANY generalized answers regarding this(such as...Well maybe some sort of capacitor might work.Or maybe a resistor of some type.) But I'm really needing some specifics(SIMPLE IS BETTER in this case)I'm not an engineering buff and I'm no electronics junkie either.I just need some answers to anyone who has some valid info to offer. Thanks in advance!

I was just wondering whether gravity affects signals..such as cell phones..wireless internet..

example:
if you place your wireless router in the top floor of your house compared to the basement..will the signal be stronger if at the top?

is that why cell towers are really high..??

Just something with a motor, propeller, and a plate. Or a Hovercraft (plastic bowl with fan inside). Url links will do fine.

Rules:
1) No styrofoam or any kind of foam. Only corrugated cardboard, popsicle sticks, one layer of nylon on the egg, rubber bands, and Elmer's glue (enough to make connections). The empty container may have a mass no grater than 200.0g. A raw egg will be used.
2) The container, w/ the egg inside, will be launched from a catapult, which will be placed 1 meter from a 1-meter high wall.
3) The container w/ the unbroken egg must travel a minimum of three meters beyond the wall to qualify as a successful launch.
4) The egg must survive the flight intact (no cracks).
5) The winning entry willl be one that has the min. combination of mass and longest linear measurement and maximum trajectory. (less mass, the better)
6) THE EGG MUST BE FREELY SUSPENDED IN THE CONTAINER. IT CANNOT BE PACKED AND IN CONTACT WITH WALLS OF THE CONTAINER.
7) To get full credit, it must go past 9.0 m.
8) The catapult only holds the size of half a baseball so keep that in mind.

Thanks for your input!

Suppose you placed an orifice plate in a hydraulic pipeline with an hydraulic motor as the consumer.
The speed of the motor would be affected as the flowrate is controlled by the orifice plate.
How would the plate affect the torque of the motor?
Would there be any pressure drop between the points before the plate and the motor? Given that the points taken are of a distance away from the plate (eg 1m per point from the plate)
