I need help!! My brother got 2 giant drill bits, about 5 inches in diameter, the commercial bits that are used for going thousands of feet in the ground. He inserted money on each end of each bit. He then brought it to a metal place who froze the bits, then pushed them together with a 100 ton press! Then when it warmed up the metal expanded and reinforced. When I try drilling with metal drill bits, they snap. I can't heat it because the money will burn. Any ideas how I get in this impossible metal gift?

There was that question in engineering. (what did...)
The answer is here: http://course1.winona.edu/ksuman/dictionary/classics.htm
I found there a long list of "not-making-any-sense" questions and answers.
I don't want to die an idiot, so, please, tell me WHY
"Translate" is "what the engineer telegraphed ahead"!
Must be some sort of (very) lateral thinking!

is anything being carved off by the laser, how can 1s and zeros or on and off codes be repeatedly 'burned' into the same tracks over and over? Is digital information just a speeded up version of Morris Code?

explain why the terminal voltage is smaller than EMF?

because EMF is eletromotive force, equals the total amount of energy gained per unit charge when there is no current.however if there is current.some energy is lost across the internal resistance.with less energy dissipated across the terminal circuit.there would be less energy per columb charge thus corresponds to a lower terminal voltage.

does it sound professinoa?i didnt learn much, need much improvement.

I am building an arch for my garden. It will stand 2.4 m above ground and weigh 160 kg. There are two vertical posts, each of which will extend 60 cm into the ground. How heavy must the foundation be to support the arch's weight? That is, how much cement must I pour to create a firm foundation?

Hi All,

This is a following question from another question, "Estimate the size of laser spot in digital camera?"

The camera has a zoom function and have been used to obtain this image. If I know the magnification, like 10x, how do I estimate the size of the spot with the zooming effect?

Thank you.

How can I make a laser alarm? I'm just getting into electronics, so if there is a design that isn't too complicated that would be nice. By laser alarm, I mean those things that set of an alarm when you block the laser from hitting the receiver.
