*Two moons on 27th August 2007*

*27th August; the day the Whole World is waiting for.

The planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.

It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65 Million miles of earth.
Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons.
The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

In a worse case scenario: I heard the astronauts could stay in the space station for 65 days, in the event it is deemed to dangerous to come home. They said a space walk is pretty risky, to try and repair the shuttle. How many docking points does that space station have? Sure hope it's more than one? If another shuttle went up with a rescue crew, would they try to fix the other shuttle?? What would make a space walk for the rescue crew any less dangerous? Would they possibly jettison the damaged shuttle and let those millions of dollars just float? What if the rescue shuttle has damaged tile too?? Don't want to be negative, but it seems like every flight of late??

I watched for about an hour and that was enough for me. I live in Central Oregon with no light pollution so the sky is incredible. I saw many good "burn ups" with alot of greenish ones. I only lasted an hour and went in. How about you did you pull an all nighter?

does the universe go on for ever and if so how far is that?
Or, is the universe like a bubble so if you go far enough in one direction you go right back round to where you began in which case what's outside the bubble?

Me and my friend were watching the meteor shower last night, when all of a sudden a white light with a blue trail burst from a little west of Mars and the star cluster that was near it. It travelled for about ten seconds across the sky and did a zigzag near the end where it just disappeared...

It was weird to say the least. We saw mainly 1 second meteors, but this was really long and put on quite a show.

Somebody posted this on myspace. I wasnt sure if it were actually true. The funny part is, a couple of weeks ago during the full moon when the moon was big and red, people were asking questions on here thinking it were Mars. I thought it was pretty ridiculous! And most of the answers made it seem like it were impossible for Mars to ever be that close, and all of us still be living!? So whats the deal!? True or not?
