The Goddard Space Flight Center's lists 2,271 satellites currently in orbit. Russia has the most satellites currently in orbit, with 1,324 satellites, followed by the U.S. with 658. Many of these are top secret spy satellites so the exact number may be classified. There are dozens of GPS satellites, hundreds of weather and communications satellites and many more with military applications. If you count space junk and debris the number goes up even higher.

There are thousands of satellites orbiting the Earth right now, to get and exact number you would have to contact NORAD, they keep track of every Satellite launched.
