I wen to the country (dark) in Texas and was disappointed. I observed (with a party of mosquitos) for 45 minutes, saw 11 or 12, and went home. This was between 3:00 AM and 3:45 AM Monday morning. It didn't seem to be the advertised show this year. I saw more last year, with the moon in the sky.

I saw about ten in an hour under semi-dark suburban skies. Many observers are reporting that the predicted peak didn't appear to happen and that Saturday was the better night.

Yes I saw 4 between 11.30 and 11.45pm. However we did have a laugh nearly getting my car stuck in a muddy field where it was dark. Bit cloudy though so only got 15mins of viewing.

I live in Simi Valley, CA, and I just laid on a table in my backyard facing northeast.
I caught about 10 of them.
I stayed for three hours.

Yes. For the most part it wasn't really spectacular, but there was one good fireball. Then again, we didn't have the best viewing conditions so might have missed the fainter ones.
