not likely. i dont imagine many creatures running around with nuclear fuel cells (stars) and massive x-ray generators (black holes, neutron stars and quasars) for organelles.

Most definately! I was just talking to my step-dad about this last night. Like you said, the ants don't know whats out there. They think that their planet only goes up to the trees and that the end of the universe is at the end of what we call our planet. I do definately think that there is something bigger than our universe out there.

I`ve always wondered if our "existence" is the inside of a cell (or something comparable) of some larger form of life. Excellent question!

*big smile*... Like GEM, I used to think that if we ever DID find the edge of the Universe, we'd find ourselves looking out of someone's fish tank... and I can get with Shortstop's idea, too!..... what if it's all relative?.... LOL!..... and then, too, I like the idea that ''god's'' a teenager and we're his final chem lab experiment... wonder if he got a good grade or not?.....

Our universe is infinite, which means it has no boundary or edge. It goes on for ever.

I wouldn't rule it out. Think about it the other way around, and it blows your mind. What if each atom was it's own tiny solar system?
