Someone mentioned Kubrick. Now just supposing some Hollywood producer had the idea to set up fake moon landing movies. How does he get it into the systems and past all the technicians and controllers who manned the control centres from 1961 to the end of the Apollo missions in 1972 (and of course who still man them for the Shuttle missions).

At what point did the faking start switching in, which would have meant massive and surreptitious changing of millions of lines of software, tinkering with all the thousands of pieces of electronics, and all at some imaginary time when the thousands of controllers and technicians weren't looking.

And who was this army of technicians, engineers, software experts, graphics experts, electonics experts, who set up this scam without all the other thousands of experts being aware?

Conspiracy lovers, please give is a scenario of how and when this could have been done.

400,000 people were involved in the Apollo missions - that was about 1 in 500 of the entire population of the USA. Look around your sports stadium next time you go see your favorite football or baseball team – on average there will be about 100 people in there who were involved in the Apollo project.

Just ask yourself: if the moon landings were fake, how the heck could you ever either fool all these people, or if they were in on it, how you would keep them all quiet.

Also, when you actually study the Apollo process, right from the first developments with the Mercury and Agena missions in the mid 1960s to the final landings in 1972, you realize how much time, effort and evolution went into the whole thing.

So, all you people who are crazy enough to listen to cr@p conspiracy stories, but who have never given much time to the actual Apollo story, please tell us sensibly at what point did it start being a fake?

Moving stars?

I've seen stars that move in the sky at a noticeable speed and at the end, disappear. What could be these moving objects, maybe satellites or stars? Maybe someone have seen these kind of movement and knows what it is?

I am writing an article for our observatory newsletter . I have one but since so many on here write such funny stuff i'd like some to chose from. 4 main parts of my article to help you think of something is.. 1 ..people's vote on if it should be a planet ..2nd scientists view, teacher's view and 3rd my opinion . 4 yahoo answers people's views.

Who faked the moon landings?

According to conspiricy theorists the moon landings where faked. Who do they claim did this?

I belive they where real, but I heard that the only person who could have done it was Stanley Kubrik. If they where faked, was he the only one who could have done it at the come?

Anyone know of any good sites on this subject?

why do we have sometimes a full moon during daylight hours?

during full moon, the moon is 100% illuminated or close to 100% and can be see at night. Lunar phase tables give you the day/time (UT) . some of these times (during the year) occur during the day (not night). Even if you substract your local time from UTM, you still may get day hours instead of night hours. I thought full moon only occur at night.
