I saw a History Channel on Edward Cayce yesterday and was wondering if it's really possible for the earth's axis to shift, and what would be some of the causes or reasons for the shift? Just wondering, thought it was interesting. Thanks!

Okay, so all the planets and their moons rotate, and thus generate a gravitational field (at least I think that is what creates it). So does this mean that the Sun is rotating as well? Okay so it is apparently firey gas and liquids on the outside at impossibly hot temperatures, but does it mean that there may be a rotating core inside??

Perhaps there actually is life outside of our planet as we know it, and not just singled celled organisms, intelligent life. But these rumours of what people have seen to be as aliens, the small grey men with hug black eyes and thin, puny bodies, could it be possible that they are merely an evolved version of man? Could that even be possible?

I worked in a credit union and one of our customers told me this. I thought she was nuts, but I looked up some of the sites she suggested and there is quite a following for this theory.

Basically, they believe that "god" or whatever you believe in, is nothing more than the control of aliens over our planet for thousands of years.

Any thoughts on this? Other than the obvious, "you are a nutjob?"

How can i define Time? I tried to define Time but could not do it without using words like "moments" which in itself means time. Can someone give a definition of Time ???

I called their NASA AMES research center to get information for my master's thesis and they had such a BAD attitude with me! And for no reason at all. =(

Why is that? Am I taking precious moments away from their busy schedules?

I'm not talking about nearby stars or galaxies. Light speed and stuff, I understand. It takes time for light to travel the distance. I'm talking about billions of light years here all the way to when the Universe was first created.

According to the Big Bang, everything originated from a single point in the Universe and spread out from there. So unless we've been spreading at the speed of light (not possible) the light that originated from the Big Bang already passed us a long time ago. Why is the observable universe 14.5 billion light years? (approximate age of the Universe, could be wrong on that number) The diameter of the universe can't be that big unless we've been spreading at least half the speed of light since the Big Bang.

Shouldn't there be a limit on how far back in time we can see? I mean since we have a calculation as to how fast the universe is expanding and the age of the universe, it should be fairly simple to calculate how far back in time we can see.

Is space something just like a distance between 2 objects or is it something more substantial?

and that in fact it was a greek scientist called Karathodoris several years before it came into light. Not only that, Einstain in fact asked the help of Karathodoris (his teacher) to explain the theory to him so he can answer the difficult questions that the scientific community were asking him.

Everything that starts must end somehere. We know that universe started with a big bang. Then what existed before BigBang.
Everything needw a volume for expansion.Since, universe is expanding..it means its occupying a part of volume in a bigger volume. So what does that bigger volume contains?Where does it all ends?

Ever noticed that the moon appears to be very large at the time of rising, and appears to be considerably small, when it is at 45 degrees, so my question is why is that so ?? when the observer is equi-distant to the moon at all times..
