Sentient life takes many forms. My species needed some alterations before we could walk among you undetected and the pharmacology necessary to keep us, and you, healthy due to our incompatible viruses and microbial life, would amaze your medical profession if they were developed enough to understand it.
Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species and your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

Maybe we all were once aliens to earth.. maybe we are all from Atlantis except the Indians and the other dark skins! Maybe all the animals cats, dogs, tigers each ruled a planet and found it wasn't worth the bother and chose to let humans treat the animals as pets getting food and attention for just giving a little affection! Maybe we were changlings and were in one form too long and got stuck that way. Anythings possible! Jesus said All things are possible with God. There art many things under the sun that many have not will to admit!

I'm sure there is a lot of life out there radically different from what we would see on earth.
However, when we think of 'Intelligent' aliens that can construct spaceships and fly through outerspace, actually, things start becoming more limited.
In order to function in a material world, these aliens would definitely require limbs so they can move properly on land to exploit all possible resources necessary for space flight. They would need hands with proper fingers, that is for sure, and they would need brains large enough compared to their bodies to develop higher mental skills.
So I would imagine they would be similar in structure to us, however, I wouldn't put any bets on them looking like green naked bug eyed men from the movies.

I think anything is possible until we can confirm exactly what they are. So I don't think your theory of evolved versions of man, or something close, is a bad theory.
I personaly would think that intelligent life from other planets may be very different from us just due to the many many possible factors that could have effected their evolution on their planet and the many results that could occur from different bio-diverse planets.

define life!
if something is 'breathing' or responding, is that life?
speed things up or down and we change our views. Look at slow motion photography and things like rocks and glaciers move as alive as well
it's all relative
could it be the shared visions of these wispy dudes are simply common visions we all share from similar events like before we were born or possibly we saw future images of runway models?
it's only alien to us because of our shallow definitions and limited will to accept other possibilities
why go to Mars when we can go to own ocean an micro worlds and see just as marvelous wonders we also deem alien and incredible? life exists all around us...and we don't even understand THAT

You asked the wrong question .. wouldn't it better to ask , what are the chances of intelligent NOT developing in a universe with uncountable planets similar to Earths ..Read the Drake Equation

OK, I'm not a sci-fi geek at all, but when my now husband, then boyfriend and I started dating he totally got me into sci-fi channels' Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. They are really REALLY corny when you first watch them, but then it's totally addicting... It really plays with the idea of aliens and what they really are and what's out in the big beyond. I suggest renting the series and starting from season one. Plus MacGyver's in it, what more could you want?

yes. We have evolved from bigger Neanderthals to the present form, and in the future man will evolve to look like the typical greys. they are traveling back in time to study the earth's past (and other things that i cannot say at the moment) and this is why they cannot reveal themselves to us. because it will affect their time line (create another one), which is no big deal because there are several created because of their travels which doesn't affect them because they return to their own. unfortunately, the current mission is vital to not create another path because it is their present time line (our future) that needs to be manipulated.
now i've said too much...

So THAT'S what we'll look like when evolution is done with us. So are these 'men' from the future? Not very much sex appeal. Do they even have genitalia? Did E.T.? Any of the ones in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"?
I don't want to look like that!
Have a great day!!!
