Astronomy & Space - October 2006

[Selected]: All categories Science & Mathematics Astronomy & Space

I read that NASA is going to bomb the south pole of the moon some where in October 2008. In search for evidence of water ice left by comets that slammed into the moon billions of years ago. So, does it mean that there would be like a hole in the moon? Are they doing it out of curiosity?

Since the big bang, matter has had enough time to collect into huge galaxies, the ones we see today.Interstellar collisions have left matter trapped wihin these super massive black holes. These holes in space time are what limits the growth of the galaxy, with poles of ejected steralizing energy, escaping none the less....What do you think???.....Tom Science 3

Reality to me means somthing that I can see, touch, talk about, know to be there or have been there and information from reliable sources ect. BUT! what about existance, what about space, what about infinity and the boundries of the universe. Are we real or only real in our minds. Will we evolve into another species with minds that are able to actualy understand our position in the cosmos

I heard that the universe is constantly expanding, well if the universe is constantly expanding then matter and energy must be expanding with it, so if a person was able to travel back say 5000 years in the the past would his atomic mass be altered do to the fact that the universe of 5000 years ago would be more dence than it is today, if it was altered what would the results be?
