Yeah, go ahead and put in Ceres, Sedna, Quaoar and 2003 UB313 as well. You should let him know that there is more to the solar system than the 8 major planets.

Pluto is no longer a full-fledged planet but you can decide for yourself if you want it in the room. It might be fun to include Pluto and the other dwarf planets to make the room seem more scientific as your grandson gets older. Of course, they can always be added later because a pinprick would be large enough to represent them.

Yeah... Pluto not being a planet doesn't mean that it's not part of the Solar System.

this all depends on you. Pluto is still very much part of our solar system, but it is just not considered a planet anymore. So, if you wanted, you could draw only 8 plantes, but I think if you drew Pluto it would expland your son's imagination and when he gets a little older, or if he is a little older now, you cand explain to him why it is not a planet and why you still put it on the wall. use your imagination, and again, it all depends on you, and if your son is old enough, it also depends on what he wants. Good luck!

Pluto is still part of our solar system, it is just not considered a planet anymore. If you are just depicted the planets, then Pluto would not be included.

I would suggest that whoever is doing the decorating make that decision.. Just because science changes it's mind, after all these years, doesn't mean we have to.. As far as I'm concerned, it's still a planet, cause ya know, it doesn't make a difference in the way we live our lives.

Even if it is now a dwarf planet, it is the largest dwarf planet we know of. And it still has enormous historical significance.
