According to conspiricy theorists the moon landings where faked. Who do they claim did this?

I belive they where real, but I heard that the only person who could have done it was Stanley Kubrik. If they where faked, was he the only one who could have done it at the come?

Anyone know of any good sites on this subject?

Thanks

This was a joke. Made in France in 2002. It must have been a good joke, because then it got taken seriously. They even said Kubrick was killed to stop him talking about the film he allegedly made of the landing. He was seen frequently in London until his death in 1999, so he had ample time to talk between the early 70s and then if he had been so inclined..

Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.

I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.

12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.

The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?

Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.

Case closed.

400,000 people were involved in the Apollo missions - that was about 1 in 500 of the entire population of the USA. Look around your sports stadium next time you go see your favorite football or baseball team – on average there will be about 100 people in there who were involved in the Apollo project.

Just ask yourself: if the moon landings were fake, how the heck could you ever either fool all these people, or if they were in on it, how you would keep them all quiet.

Also, when you actually study the Apollo process, right from the first developments with the Mercury and Agena missions in the mid 1960s to the final landings in 1972, you realize how much time, effort and evolution went into the whole thing.

So, all you people who are crazy enough to listen to cr@p conspiracy stories, but who have never given much time to the actual Apollo story, please tell us sensibly at what point did it start being a fake? Do you believe that Glenn never orbited in 1962, or the early Apollos never orbited Earth and practiced docking, or went on to orbit the moon?

At what point did the faking start switching in, which would have meant massive and surreptitious changing of millions of lines of software, tinkering with all the thousands of pieces of electronics, and all at some imaginary time when the thousands of controllers and technicians weren't looking.

And who was this army of technicians, engineers, software experts, graphics experts, electonics experts, who set up this scam without all the other thousands of experts being aware.

You don't have to go into all that cr@p about flags waving, stars not showing in the sky, landmarks looking strange - they can fool all the ignorant people who have not the brains to see that an airless, low gravity object like the Moon behaves totally different to earth. You don't need to go past all the questions I pose above.

When armed with the knowledge of the history of America in space, only a real idiot would think the moon landings were fake.

So, I say to all those who do not want to be thought of as congenital idiots, to go do the research, and stop listening to all the subversive people who want and love to find conspiracy in everything good in America (and it's not even my country).

A good start - go buy Tom Hanks mini series on DVD - "From Earth to the Moon". It is a re-enacted history of the whole thing, but combines actual footage. If you have no time to read, watch this series, and be proud of and moved by something truly fantastic that your country achieved.

Try and avoid buffoons like Lionized and kane d, they are lunatics and could be dangerous. "I've watched all the documentaries and read all the books" indeed ! Ha ha.

There is proof that they actually did go to the Moon, which is the signal coming back from, yes, you've guessed it, the Moon, which was received and tracked by stations all over the world, including the Soviet Union. Impossible to fake, due to the Moon's unique motion in the sky.

Now that's a good question!

Supposedly the landing was filmed at area 52 in slow motion... The landscape at area 52 matches that of the landing on the moon... And if you spead up Neil Armstrong running on the moon it looks like it is down in earths gravity etc...

But on the other hand Ufologist believe that in parts of the filming (on the moon) that UFO's are visible in the distance...

So... What to make of it...

I've watched all the documentaries, read all the books and don't believe that they landed on the moon at that particular point in time.

But that's just my opinion... But i do believe there is intelligent life beyond our planet.

""if the landing was real then why are we not doing it all the time?"

sorry this just annoyed me. the reason we don't do it all the time is because every minute spent on the surface of the moon cost America $200,000. oh and one of the reasons there are spaceship problems now is that we are using reusable ships. hence America is switching back to the Apollo style ships soon

This is a great site about it:

It completely explains and debunks all of the supposed evidence that the moon landing was faked.

Well there are various documentaries out there, and once you watch them you will have no doubt that it was faked in order to beat the russians.Sad but true is that most of Americas history is based on lies and corruption, just look at this war...looking for weapons of mass destrution...yeh right...how many more people got to die
