It literally throws me backward to see that people are yet to this day, asking this question! I would imagine however that you were not yet born upon the Earth when July 20, 1969 came around...for it was on that very day that man did indeed (American men I might add) land and walk upon the surface of the Moon. I was 13 years of age and at a little festival called "Woodstock" (in NY) when this took place, but watched the entire event on television AS IT HAPPENED. And not only did American astronauts land and walk upon the Moon, they also "drove" (a vehicle) upon the Moon and also teed-off with a golf-ball. There were a number of Lunar-landing Missions...not merely Apollo 11 which marked the beginning of the Lunar-landings. Go to your Public Library...where you will find all the details (including hundreds of photographs) that you could possibly need or are in search of on this matter. Good luck, and have fun learning about this exciting subject!

I am going to put this through every time we get this inane question. Please read carefully if you are fool enough to believe that the moon landings were fake:
400,000 people were involved in the Apollo missions - that was about 1 in 500 of the entire population of the USA. Look around your sports stadium next time you go see your favorite football or baseball team – on average there will be about 100 people in there who were involved in the Apollo project.
Just ask yourself: if the moon landings were fake, how the heck could you ever either fool all these people, or if they were in on it, how you would keep them all quiet.
Also, when you actually study the Apollo process, right from the first developments with the Mercury and Agena missions in the mid 1960s to the final landings in 1972, you realize how much time, effort and evolution went into the whole thing.
So, all you people who are crazy enough to listen to cr@p conspiracy stories, but who have never given much time to the actual Apollo story, please tell us sensibly at what point did it start being a fake? Do you believe that Glenn never orbited in 1962, or the early Apollos never orbited Earth and practiced docking, or went on to orbit the moon?
At what point did the faking start switching in, which would have meant massive and surreptitious changing of millions of lines of software, tinkering with all the thousands of pieces of electronics, and all at some imaginary time when the thousands of controllers and technicians weren't looking.
And who was this army of technicians, engineers, software experts, graphics experts, electonics experts, who set up this scam without all the other thousands of experts being aware.
You don't have to go into all that cr@p about flags waving, stars not showing in the sky, landmarks looking strange - they can fool all the ignorant people who have not the brains to see that an airless, low gravity object like the Moon behaves totally different to earth. You don't need to go past all the questions I pose above.
When armed with the knowledge of the history of America in space, only a real idiot would think the moon landings were fake.
So, I say to all those who do not want to be thought of as congenital idiots, to go do the research, and stop listening to all the subversive people who want and love to find conspiracy in everything good in America (and it's not even my country).

particular. American Astronauts did land on the moon and walk around. i'm proud to have considered their kit and touched the area pill that they used. that's on the Smithsonian Institute area and technological expertise Museum in Washington, DC. That powerful voyage became the end results of the paintings efforts of various thousand American women and adult males persons scattered everywhere in the globe. i'm darn happy with each and every and one and all of them.

Of course they did. Those conspiracy stories are bogus. All the reasons they give for doubting the landings just show their ignorance of conditions in space and science in general. The following source from the NASA history office gives full details of all the Apollo landings.

Hi. Yes, and they left instruments behind that we still use. Besides, they would not fake an accident like Apollo 13. Or maybe that didn't happen either.
