I saw someone else had asked this question, but it didn't set well with me. I believe that going into space without a suit (this was one of the reasons the answerer gave for his "no" answer) Would be painful and maybe quick, but still pretty scary and painful.....anyone know?

I would assume that most are solar powered with a back-up rechargable battery for when it enter's an area out of the Sun's range. Can anyone confirm what other power sources they use?

I'm talking Earth satellites just in case it's not obvious.

Relativity talks of the warping of spacetime. say what would happen on a busy street if an individual pulled a spacetime warp? would he be invisible to others? would he be able to dissappear off the street at 9am and re appear at the same point on the street at 4pm (all in a flash)?

I am at present trying to read 'a brief history of time' by Stephen Hawking but I am finding it really hard going as anyone who has tried to read it will tell you (unless you're a rocket scientist yourself!). A lot of it is just washing straight over me, it's just far too complex. What I would like to know is -: Can anyone recommend a book on a similar subject that is (much!) easier to read and follow? Thanks in advance.
