If there was a tube, say 3 metres in diameter which went from a sealed unit to about a mile or so outside our hemisphere into space... what would the resulting action be if you were in the sealed unit at the bottom and a (i guess) sealed hatch was opened.

Would you be sucked into outer space? also what if there wasn't a sealed unit at the bottom, just a tube from space down to the ground.. would the oxygen be sucked out??

There is a conspiracy involving the US Military having secret meeting with aliens and then organising the transfer for personnel to visit this alien planet, and then to come back some years later. There was also a website that claimed to be leaking reports of these incidents from an "anonymous" sender.

If anybody knows information on this incident, the name of the project or the address of the website that had these reports I would be greatly interested.

Stars are located light years away.
So light takes as many years to reach us which means that we are seeing images of stars that are probably years to millions of years old.
Is it possible to know what is happening right now in space ,or are we really helpless in this matter?

along a dark and lonely night, with a north easterly, blowing
up your ring piece, and you got very hungry, is it tuesday.

Is it me or the fact that we landed on the moon a stupid thing?
If you think about it how many people have made it to the moon or space alive and back? I think we never made it to the moon of the fact that the most recent missions have all failed but the one time they tryed they got it right so has tecnology changed for the worst?

I know that a lot of creationist use the argument when arguing for the existant of God that the chance of a universe coming into exsistance and that planet would be able to support life, without some kind of creator, is rediculously small. Not like 1 in a million small. Like infintesimly small. Now this thread isnt about God so I dont want to here people belief systems. My question is if the chances that a place like earth coming into existance are so small than arent the chances that say ten other planets able to support intelligent life somewhere in our vast universe like a million time less likely. My point is every is convinced that aliens are out there, but when you think about does there really have to be intelligent life out there?

I know this question has probably been asked a thousand times already and its probably old news... but does anyone else feel outraged (don't know if thats the right word to use!) that pluto is no longer a planet. I can't see how after years and years of saying its a planet and teaching everyone that its a planet and documenting it as a planet someone can just turn arouns and say no it's not a planet anymore!!!
