With all the rumors of it being a hoax, it makes me wonder why we haven't been back since. We spend all this money for Mars, Jupiter and Pluto, why not set up base and have a real new footage of us walking around. I think we were fooled and we don't have what it takes to be on the moon and all of are getting shafted. Thats just my opinion. I think NASA lied to us

I've heard that smog and pollution are keeping us from seeing the light the stars are shining to us. How can we help prevent pollution and smog so everyone could watch the stars at night?

Is Earth, the moon, and all other planets, made of similar texture and material, or are they different? Are some different, while others are similar?

If a star explodes (a star can explode, right?), then after a long period of time, the light seizes to shine, correct? What happens to a star after it explodes?

What is the longest it could take for the light of a star to be visible with the naked eye? (It does take a very long time for starlight to reach us from where the star is, right?)

With all the outcry about Pluto no longer being a planet I thought of this odd point I have seen no one else bring up yet. Wondering if anyone else at all has picked up on it. Had Pluto been defined as a planet then its companion Cheron would also have been classified as a planet? How could/would this double planet definition possibly cause an issue with Jupiter being a planet?
(Ok I probably gave to many clues in the additional details)

Hi Friends,
This is my First Question post in Yahoo! Answers. Its really awesome to see different kinds of questions and aswers. Really I'm enjoying it and got some new knowledge.
My question is, we all know that we are living in planet Earth, which consists of our Solar system which is in our Milkyway galaxy, which in turn is in our Universe along with Millions of other galaxies.
Is there any presence of more universes like the one where we are living, so called Multiverse.
You may all coem to know a Hollywood movie called "The One" acted by Jet Li. The main concept of the movie tells is that there are Multiverse, more Universes and people have technologies to travel between Universes.
Does any body have Faith or Kowledge or some Doubt about the existance of Multiverse (more Universes)?
Please let me know about your views friends.
I saw some friends are replying like "I don't know","U r silly to ask this","U go & study the basics" and etc...
I humbly request you to avoid this.

Why do atheists keep bothering themselves about God if they are so sure that god does not exist?

Are atheists indecisive people who cant even trust their own judgements? Or are atheists too wanting to believe in God ?

Yes i know that this question is not related to astronomy , but it somehow concerns all ,
