Okay this is my math extra credit and please no stupid answers like I don't want to do your homework or I will report you.
Okay 10 points to the best answer lets begin!
1)You have a bucket that holds 4 gallons or water and a second bucket the holds 7 gallon of water. The buckets have no markings. How can you go to the well and bring back exactly 5 gallons of water?
2)Okay this one involces a picture I will describe it best I can. It is a picture of 3 dots evenly placed out and a line under it and 3 foot steps under the line. Suppose you are a detective and found these tracks on some damp ground. Do you have any ideas how they were made?
3) Why are 1980 pennies worth almost 20$? (I don't think the answer is obvious as it look and maybe involves what the value of pennies in 1980 was.)
4) Another picture but very simple. 3 blank boxes plus another 3 blank boxes equal 3 blank boxes. Place the digits 1 through 9 in the nine squares to form a correct addition. Is there other ways todoit

The thermite reaction, used for welding iron, is the reaction of Fe3O4 with Al.

8Al (s) + 3Fe3O4 (s) = 4Al2O3 (s) + 9Fe (s)
H = -3350jk/mol

Because this large amount of heat cannot be rapidly dissipated to the surroundings, the reacting mass may reach temperatures near 3000C. How much heat is released by the reaction of 23g of Al with 57.6g of Fe3O4.

Im lost here. I was told i needed to find the limiting reactant? why? overall im totally lost here.

If the line y = 4x + 3 is tangent to the curve y = x^2 + c, then c is...
A) 2
B) 4
C) 7
D) 11
E) 15
me and my friend got 7 and i think that's the right answer, but i don't really understand how i came to that conclusion. :/ can someone explain to me why it's C [7]?
and i do know tangent lines, so no need for any explanations about what a tangent line is. i just don't understand how c = 7 in the equation. :/
thanks!

AZ 1300 hrs, 11/12/07..I-10 between 81/69 offramps/crystal clear weather very light traffic./west bound. Suddenly a strange out of this world craft appeared ahead of me crossing right to left as if on final approach. It crossed ahead of me about 250 yards, and on the other side of the freeway it rapidly accelerated and then just within 5 seconds it was out of sight and disappeared. It was about the size of a Cessna their was no propeller, no wings, no portholes, no exhaust no visible heat or method of propulsion. I am now a believer.
