A modern wind turbine has a capacity of 1.5 to 2.5 MW. Unfortunately they don't run continuously, much less at maximum capacity.

Since this is your science project, I'll let you do most of the research. Here are some of the items you'll need.

1) Annual kWh consumption of the "average" home.
2) Installed capacity of wind turbines.
3) Average capacity factor of wind turbines. (25 to 40%)


You need to decide whether your research is going to be just the US or world-wide.
