I am interested in SETI, the Search for Extra Terrestial Intelligence. I do not have a career in astronomy, so there is no danger of adveresly affecting it. I know how to program FPGAs to do FFTs, how to design antennas, RF preamps and other aspects of the electronic arts.
How could I best aid this effort? Does it need more funding, more ideas, more manpower, or what? How should I best deploy my talents?
