A black hole is a collapsed star. The gravity of a black hole is so strong that not even light can escape from within its surface or "event horizon". Even outside that surface, enormous energies are needed to escape. Suppose that you are 10 km away from the centre of a black hole (m=10 kg). if your mass is 70 kg, how much do you weigh?

Show calculation!

Bear in mind that the word "east" comes from Latin for "dawn" - so would this mean that east is defined by the direction in which the sun rises? And then, how would this word for other solar systems?

I chose to write a report about outer space because it absolutely enthralls me- the entire idea of cosmology, astrophysics, quantum theories- and I am awed by images of Nebula's, Auroras, Meteors, Comets, Black Holes, Coronas, The Planets, Supernovas, Dwarfs...and ETC.
My problem, is all of it is so fascinating to me, and there's a broad range to choose from, so i'm a bit stuck. I have to open with a statement that encompasses one larger argument. It could be anything though, so does anybody have some good suggestions for a more specific idea I could strive for? It has to be an idea from which I could form some sort question, and my paper would be what I learned to figure out the correct/most accurate answer to it.
I'm aware it will definitely take some time and effort, though, i'd prefer it be something that's not too difficult to understand, and that I could find a fair amount of information on.

Thanks a bunch...!!!

I currently have the flu with mild pneumonia and the doctor put me on Tamiflu (an anti-flu agent), Zithromax (an antibiotic), and Histinex (a decongestant/antihistamine/narcotic cough suppressant syrup). Ever since I started on this regimen, I have bad bronchospasms (with spasmodic coughing to the point of hiccups). This has never happened to me before, and does not feel related to my illness. I've ruled out Zithromax because I've taken it before with no problems. But it seems as soon as I take the Tamiflu, here come the bad bronchospasms. The cough syrup does not help with the coughing and, in fact, makes the bronchospasms worse, if anything. I remember the doctor had asked me if I had asthma (which I don't have a history of at all). Does this sound like a reaction to my medication?

Additional details:
1. I got flu shot on Oct. 23.
2. Later in a.m., I will be speaking w/my pharmacist (over 30 yrs' experience)

I also had a similar one 2 months prior to the Northridge quake. I wrote a letter to the Times, and they later mentioned it in an article about psychic tools of predicting earthquakes.

This recent dream was much more devastating, and I've again sent a detailed letter, (Registered), to the Mayor's Office.

The 4 page missive and a copy of the Times article and letter (Northridge) will be sold on eBay Thanksgiving Day, with full proceeds to be given to the Red Cross, Los Angeles Chapter.

Those living in or near the Riverside epicenter should go to Las Vegas before it hits.

It eclipses all US quakes ever recorded.

I have this "magical" power. I am good at guessing :) .
no really! I have been always able to choose the right answer in my mulitple answer exams when I was in school. I don't get them all right of course, but I get many of them.

you may say that I already knew the answer in my subconscious mind and all that stuff, but how about this: in my work, there are 4 elevators. when I am waiting for the elevator, I can guess which one will arrive first with an accuracy of like 7 or 8 out of 10.

have you tried this before?
