Since you asked where is the hottest place ON earth RIGHT NOW, I take that to mean on the surface, at this time of the year. It is coming on winter in the Northern Hemisphere so I discount any places there.

I would suggest the hottest Place right now is Marble Bar, Western Australia (southern Summer right now), which is on the edge of the Gibson desert and has the record for the most consecutive hottest days of any place in the world (160 days a year above 40C).

Though the hottest place in the world, El Azizia, is a desert, not all deserts are hot. Antarctica, for example, is the driest continent on earth, getting less than 4 in/10cm of precipitation a year. What characterizes or defines a desert is the lack of precipitation - less than 10 in/25.4cm per year. In the Antarctic, there is very little precipitation in the form of rain or snow. Even though there's water, water everywhere it's locked up in the form of ice.
Death Valley comes in a close second, at 134° F/ 56.6°C on July 10, 1913.

depends.. in the earth or on the earths surface? well the hottest temperature ever recorded on the earths surface was in Libya over 40 degrees Celsius. in the core well... the temperature is so immense it is as hot as the surface of the sun. 5000 degrees Celsius. the heat is caused due to the radioactivity in the core. this depends on the half life of this substance to decay. the most abundant in the core is iron but uranium plays a major role.
