I don't get it. My teacher says haploid gametes (sex cells) undergo Meiosis.

BUT, the internet says diploid cells undergo Meiosis. Gametes are NOT diploid, they are haploid, right? So, I don't get which cells undergo meiosis. Body cells or sex cells??

I know diploid body cells undergo MITOSIS.

Also, the purpose of meiosis is to produce gametes, so how does it make sense that gametes undergo meiosis, to produce gametes?? Please is there anyone that can help me explain plz, I'd really really appreciate it greatly.

I am currently taking a Algebra Elementary remedial course. I am failing most of my exams in that class and some of the guys in the class get the material fairly easy. I admit i haven't done my best to reinforce the material at home. I need to pass the exam coming up or I will be kicked out of my school which is horrible. I wish math was a human so I can kill him because he is about to ruin my life. As you can imagine I floated through the math classes in my middle school and high school. I was foolish enough to turn my back on math and now the jerk is going to ruin my dreams. I need to some how learn the material for the test so I can ace it but I don't think I can do it.

Any suggestions on what i should do?

I hate teachers and I don't like being involved with a tutor because of social problems to work out.

Ok so I need help understanding how to do indirect proofs. I'm so confused. :/

Given: quad. EFGH in which m. of angle EFG=93; m. of angle FGH=20; m. of angle GHE=147; m. of HEF=34
Prove: EFGH is not a convex quad

My teacher wants it in a 5 listed proof exactly like this:
1. Assume temporarily that....
2.Then....
3.But this contradicts the known or given fact that...
4.Therefore are temporary assumption that... .... is false.
5. It follows that...

PLEASE if you are nice and are good at indirect proofs AIM me, my SN is xreactions. PLEASE HELP, Thanks

I got the answer to the tension part of the question. Tension = 4.78e-3 N. Now, what is the charge on each ball?

Two identical, small insulating balls are suspended by separate 0.37-m threads that are attached to a common point on the ceiling. Each ball has a mass of 4.4 x 10-4 kg. Initially the balls are uncharged and hang straight down. They are then given identical positive charges and, as a result, spread apart with an angle of 51o between the threads. Determine (a) the charge on each ball and (b) the tension in the threads.

When 50mL of aqeous HCl was mixed with 50mL of NaOH (in excess), the temperature of the solution increased from 25C to 32.41C. The reaction is...
NaOH(aq) + HCl(aq) --> NaCl(aq) + H2O(aq).
change in heat= -57.3kJ
What is the molarity of the original HCl solution?
Assume the heat capacity of the solution is the same as pure water (4.184J/g*C), the density of the solution is 1g/mL, and there is no loss of heat to the surroundings
