Osmosis would occur as the plant cell took in water through the cell memebrane. The water will continue to enter the cell until a balance is reached called equilibrium. The water will plump up the cell and make it easier to see under a microscope.

It will swell. In other words it will become turgid due accumulation of water due to endosmosis.
