A particle travels between two parallel vertical walls separated by 11 m. It moves to ward the opposing wall at a constant rate of 6.3m/s. It hits the opposite wall at the same height and the acceleration of gravity is 9.8m/s^2. I need to find what its speed will be when it hits the opposing wall. I thought it was 6.3m/s but it's not.

I found this weird fly at home, it has SO long legs, two eys, and >long antennae< yes! you hear that right, the weird fly has LONG antennae and THIN body.

I think it's a cross-breed between a housefly and a mosquito, but who knows? It's not the first time that I seen it, I'm trying to find it again so I can take a picture of it and post it online for identification.

I've searched through http://www.whatsthatbug.com/index.html database but couldn't find it there, perhaps because I live in egypt?

anyway, if you don't know it, wait for the photo, I'll search for it tomorrow.

I’m looking over Derivatives of Sines and Cosines and can’t figure out how to go from step #1 to step #2. The author of my calculus book has a habit of not tell you how he goes from one step to the other. I have the sin/cos identities in front of me and I still can’t figure it out.

Step #1
Lim h-->0 [ (sinxcosh + sinhcosx) – sinx ] / h

Step #2
Lim h-->0 [ (cosx)(sinh/h) – (sinx)(1–cosh/h) ]

The motor is coupled to a gearbox and the only rpm reading I can get is by putting a tach on the side of the 1.75" shaft and not the center of the shaft. Anyone know what formula to use to get actual rpm's? It's a variable speed DC motor so the 1160 rpm rating on the motor nameplate is no help.
