Ok a few graphing questions on translations?

Question

I am unsure how to do these questions so I will pick one from each section to see how to do them please help.

value of h- each says the same thing which is For each of the folowing, draw a rough graph of y=x^2 and the given function to thow their relatonship.

1.y=(x+5)^2

2. Value of k. y+2=x^2


3. The last section on this practice sheet says for each of the following
- describe the graph in relation to the basic quadratic function y=x^2
-draw a rough graph, including the basic function

(y-2)= (Y+3)^2

Answer 1

(1.) y = (x + 5)^2
y = (x - (-5))^2
h = -5

(2.) y + 2 = x^2
y - (-2) = x^2
k = -2

(3.) (y - 2) = (x + 3)^2
h = -3 k = 2
