I found this weird fly at home, it has SO long legs, two eys, and >long antennae< yes! you hear that right, the weird fly has LONG antennae and THIN body.

I think it's a cross-breed between a housefly and a mosquito, but who knows? It's not the first time that I seen it, I'm trying to find it again so I can take a picture of it and post it online for identification.

I've searched through http://www.whatsthatbug.com/index.html database but couldn't find it there, perhaps because I live in egypt?

anyway, if you don't know it, wait for the photo, I'll search for it tomorrow.

Crane fly is often mistaken for a large mosquito. Look for a V marking on its thorax. They belong to the family Tipulidae. Since they are very common in the US I am sure they occur in Egypt.

Possibly a crane fly. These look like giant mosquitoes but are harmless.
