My teacher has a sort of humor about him....

Upon completion of an AP Calculus Summer assignment, a group of disgruntled students chase their instructor to the top of a tower. They proceed to drop the evil math teacher from the tower. The position function (in feet) of the falling teacher at time t seconds is given by:
s(t)=-16t^2+128.
The velocity of the falling teacher at time t = a seconds is given by :
lim .. s(a) - s(t)
t->a ...... a - t
Find the velocity of the teacher when t = 2 seconds.

Help would be appreciated.

Are there any arguments other than “creationism” against it? What are they?
I’m trying to convince my cousin of evolution and I want to make sure I cover all my bases, but any search I do comes up with copious Creationist websites and articles and little else. So I was wondering… what arguments are there other than the religious ones?

The void of space that contains no familiar molecules... are there any recorded signs thus far of substance as the imperfect vacuum. To say, is the blackness without hydrogen present or any other familiar thing, deffinatly empty... or possibly filled with somthing very hard to detect with the familiarity of nature we are given on this planet? Have we not the intruments devised to map the structure of what seems as mysterious dark matter... or are there pieces that just haven't been put together to show evidence of the void unifying all things in the known and white unknown universe saying nothing in either isn't touching something from both being that all things are connected as far as is extending between dimensions?

I'd really like to see the Perseid meteor shower. I read on yahoo today that it is supposed to be most visible tonight. Let me just say that I don't know anything about this kind of stuff
I have two questions.
First, is there any possible way that I could see it... I live in Philadelphia (a city).
Second, if you think that there is any way for me to see it (even with the city lights), which direction should I look? Or does that even matter?

Thanks in advance :]
