Can you really see the sky? Light pollution can affect this

i see a ton of stars, but no meteors. i've been going out since about 10:30 and it's now almost 2. ****** meteor shower! i gotta go back outside!

It's supposed to peak at 2:00 am EDT, 1;00 am CDT. According to IR satellite picture, most of the southeastern U.S. is cloudy (FL, GA, AL).

peak hour is midnight, some people (that live on the west coast) might not be able to see it until around 2 am

It will start around midnight; it doesn't matter where you are in terms of time zones. Look to the northeast.
