percentage = (number of ways / total) * 100%

So here, your "number of ways" is 56 freethrows made, with the total being 75 total taken.

percentage = 56/75 *100%
percentage = 74.67%

you made 56 out of 75 or 56/75 = 0.746666 times 100 to get % = 74.66% almost 75% or 3 out of 4 shots make the basket.

its not 75 X 0.56
56 out of 75 means 56/75 = 0.746666
To get % = 0.746666 X 100 ; 74.66% nearly 75%
