Yahoo Answers is great. But it's obvious people simply post their homework problems here. So, I guess I have several questions regarding the helping responsibility (Note: I'm a math major myself).

1) How do we help people with problems in areas like trig and algebra, while guiding them to the correct resources for later information?
2) How do we help people in more advance courses with very specific problems in fields? Obviously this becomes an ethical issue. The web has some good advance math resources, but not always for specific types of problems. I believe we should be able to help people some way, but we need to be able to help in a way for both the person to learn, and not overstep the boundaries of the student's responsibility.

Any general comments or discussion on this issue would be appreciated!

I've been reading all the books I can find on it. Robert Monroe wrote about vibrations and a hissing sound.... I experience the hiss, but no vibrations, and I can't seem to get out of body. Maybe it just takes lots of practice...

I actually have a few.

Solve by completing the square. Give both real and imaginary roots. Be sure not to lose or gain roots.

22) (2x+1)(4x-3)= 3(4x-3)^2
26) (r)/(r-1)-(r)/(r+1)= (2)/(r^2-1)
28) (x+2)/(x^2-x-6)= 3-(4)/(x-3)
30) *rad*2x+5*end rad*=x+1

I appreciate any help that anyone can give me. I know it' won't be easy. :S Why else would I be asking?

I spend another all-nighter, tonight standing outside waiting to see a Celestial showing, but to no avail. :-( All I DID see was (maybe?) one "flash" - I bet it was only a distant star giving up it's final show.
Why is this year's Persied Meteorshower such a tell-all in the media? - Why hasn't it garnered as much mention-attention since this year?
I did spot Mars in the distance from this shower, but that planet is too far in it's orbit to even consider mentioning.
When will be the next possible Galaxy-glory-"thing" to show up nearby Earth to garner more media attention? - How often does our "Sister-planet" (Mars) visit this neighborhood?

I live in North East Ohio. I was next to some wooden fence. And I saw a very small bee-looking nest. It was about half the length of a $ bill. I took it off the fence. And I thought that no bees lived in it. Then I squished it. And really weird spider came out and it freaked me out big time. So did that spider build the nest or did it rent it out?

in a typical spiral galaxy, will the orbits of every solar systems be parallel to the galactic plane? In a scenario where beings from one solar systems meet other beings from another system in spacecrafts, is it likely that they meet in virtually the same plane right side up or meet in crazy angles?
