4X-2=-8+5X
-4X = -4X (subtract 4x from both sides)
-2 = -8+1X
+8 = +8 (add 8 to both sides)
6=1X
6=X or X=6
It is the same for any other problem like this. Remember you have to take the test, not Yahoo Answers so I would remember how to do this......

x = 6
