If this is a serious question, then it's because the financial and material cost of creating sustainable life any place that we can currently get to, along with the risk of failure and death of any personnel involved is currently too high to make it worthwhile. There are also many legal and ethical questions about sending someone out into space to most likely die before reaching any location of desirability that cannot be reasonably answered. Thus the barriers are what is possible with current technology and resources and the logistics of determining what is right between any individual and any governing body.
That said, I doubt that someone who would ask this question really put much thought into it personally and is just posing a question to make some kind of point. But why not work to make earth better than fantasize about some space pipe dream.

On Mercury and Venus you would roast. On Mars you would freeze. Jupiter would crush you. Beyond Jupiter you would crush, asphyxiate, and freeze all at the same time. On the only other know planet that might have liquid water, you would not be able to stand up because the gravity is three to five times what the Earth has.
The Earth is unique in the Cosmos. Living on the Earth is like going out a buying a ticket for every lottery in the USA and winning them all. The more you study astronomy the more you will see that this is true. The more you see of the Earth, the more you will know this is true.
There are some things that people do that really do suck, but believe it or not, it was worse in the past, and it will be better in the future. The starting point to making it better, is being able to see what sucks, and making a promise to yourself to work on changing it.

Why? Because real life is not Star Trek, that's why. In real life, space travel is time-consuming, dangerous and ludicrously expensive. We don't have the technology to travel to other star systems (not in our own lifetime, not in a hundred lifetimes either.)
And all the places in our own solar system are hostile to human life. The Moon has no atmosphere and no water. The surface of Mars is colder than Antarctica. The surface of Venus is hotter than an oven and the atmosphere is an acid as dense as the bottom of the ocean. The gas giants don't even have a surface. These are all interesting places to explore, for scientific reasons, but only an idiot would think of living there.
In short, the Earth does not suck. The Earth is the best possible place for us. Not too hot, not too cold. Plenty of water and oxygen and a proper magnetic field to shield us from cosmic radiation. The Earth rocks.
But if you're so dissatisfied, feel free to go. I'll look after you're stuff for you.

If you think Earth sucks, then either
a) You don’t get out into the wild places enough
b) You are blind
c) You are really ignorant (since there is nothing out there even vaguely habitable, let alone has the beauty of Earth
d) You are just plain stupid
Which one is it?

Well actually if you lived right and become a christian your spirit can live in Heaven some time in the future. I don't
think we have technology yet to make a spaceship fast enough to make repeat trips to Mars and back. Mars has a thin atmosphere of air and possible signs of water. Some of
us could move to Mars one day in the future.

Hi, Two Reasons:
1. If you sent 20 yr olds to the nearest planet that could substain human life, they would all be dead before they got there.
2. Would goverments and polations start wars of that one.

Earth sucks because we ruined it. We break it, we fix it. If we don't fix it, we'll be shaken right off into extinction and then the whole dinosaur thing will happen all over again...See how long it took us from then to get to this point?

i think of you may bypass with Xbox 360 Console i ma particular you like better than ps3. the two greatest takeaways from the hot XBOX for me are the thin, sleak new black chasis and outfitted in help for WiFi 'n'. although the opticalchronic ie fairly disappointing. Its louder than my older XBOX'schronic that's a humiliation to the final build high quality of the product. aside from that however its an impressive revision and springs with one extra power socket for the Kinect.

Let us know when you find a habitable planet that won't take over 100,000 years to get to.
