meteors travel MUCH MUCH faster than an airplane.

you'll know the differance when you see it.

meteors also have a long trail glowing behind them (seems like about 2 inches to the eyes)

like I said. if you saw one, you'd know it.

I'd say the meteor would pass within a 1/5th of a second.
they travel 35 miles per SECONDS
planes travel 0.1 miles per second

Meteors move a hundred times faster than any plane, and don't make any sound. A meteor is gone in a second or two; a plane is visible for 4 or 5 minutes.

A meteor moves many, many times faster than a plane. It will cross the entire sky in just a few seconds. No plane can do that.

Also, meteors don't have flashing lights.

Also also, you brother's a numskull. There, I said it.

You can see a plane for a long time. If it's a meteor, it will rapidly flash by, have a tail usually, and if you aren't paying attention, it would likely pass you by.

Speed of motion, and duration of the sight. A meteor image lasts only a second or so.
