Just a ericka said; if the radius is in inches the volume will be cubic inches, if in centimeters it will be cubic centimeters. At any rate, it will always be cubic something since you are measuring a 3 dimensional space.

the unit of volume depends upon on the unit use in computing the volume of the cylinder
